Soulclipse - Total Solar Eclipse Festival 2006 - Turkey
IndigoKids
Soulclipse is an outdoor open air festival to celebrate one of nature's most spectacular natural manifestations, the Total Solar Eclipse. The Festival concept is based on a long continuous history of other Eclipse festivals that occurred throughout the globe. Indigokids as the organizers of the event have a collective mission to unite the tribe in Turkey for this festive occasion. In order for us all to witness one of the most awesome sights displayed by nature, and to be immersed in its universal cosmic energy cycle. To dance in unison, exchange ideas, meet and befriend new like minded individuals from around the planet. Most importantly to create the perfect atmosphere that encourages freedom and self expression. This goal comes out of love, harmony with nature, and understanding towards each others differences and similarities as human beings. The trance festivals have always been where we have found our greatest opportunities to learn, to grow, to celebrate, to be one with our fellow beings and our Mother Earth, to serve, to pray, to play. The gatherings for us are living theater, evolution in process, creativity manifest. This event is open to all visual art, performance, dance, acoustic unamplified, fireshows, healing arts, yoga, meditation, regulated vending and whatever other freaky idea you might have. The festival will be held on the river banks in a national park. If you are planning to come to the festival & to really feel comfortable at the location, you need to take some time and get prepared...Please check in info what to bring..

excellent yes it was very expensive and the collapse of the stage has been something i never seen before.. but after all it was so far for sure one of the best festivals i been to! all those special people from all over and sooo many known faces and friends i see and also many new i meet. The location was great but kind of a swamp after the rain.. one night i fell with Loopus into a big hole which we really didnt expect there. but it was made by someone.. toilets where pretty stinky after a while too but this is not the first festival with such problems..
it was my second eclipse gathering and it was sooo amazing but i never find words for expressing those feelings going on inside of you in such moment..
it was great experience and good opportunity to see Turkey again. Chaikovsky had a really good set in the chill out the music in general was pretty good but i did not see liese :( too bad.. i hope we get another opportunity sometime soon! - Styx , posted 04/08/06 |

good pix nice setting Heard about the eclipse from a Turkish friend (in Izmir) just after it. Nice to see what he was talking about. Love those mountains! (He likes biking through them.) The locale also reminds me of the Gathering which happens every New Year's near Nelson, New Zealand. Hills not quite so grand but the woods look similar. - Kai , posted 04/06/06 |

Pictures from the solar eclipse gathering It was totally amazing, nice surrounded by mountains in a beautiful valley. Nice decorated stages and more than 5000 colorful people there. During the 7 days party just about 16 hours of rain, making a very muddy ground and so we called it mudstock :)
The organization was not the best at all but in the end i think every one has it‘s fun there. I am just a bit disappointed about the prices on the festival, everything was really expensive.
